What I really love in my job is the wonderful people I meet. And it’s because of this I struggle to call it a job – I mean how can a job be something you enjoy so much? Ciara and Mike are one of the many fantastic couples I get to work with over the course of any year and I just love it when couples really stamp their personality on a shoot. I knew I was in for a good time when they rocked up with some cute details like a snuggly blanket and umbrella.
In fact the umbrella was probably a bit necessary. Ciara and Mike arrived at the cosy Deerstalker Pub after a mad dash to their florists in Tenterden on the outskirts of the Ashdown Forest. I’ll be honest I could have sat in that pub catching up with them both and shot the breeze for hours and then realised we’d not actually done the engagement shoot. Yeah… Anyway, I hope you enjoy this amazing atmospheric woodland and heathland shoot, because in a week or so I am off to shoot their festival wedding in Kent, which I am looking forward to just a little bit… 🙂
Oh and Ciara – here’s to goading your brother with mashed up fried eggs! 😉
I think it’s so important to capture portraits of the two people that come together to make an amazing couple. No studio white backdrop here, just the natural beauty of the woodland landscape.
We left Five Hundred Acre wood and headed up on to the heathland on the Ashdown Forest but the mist was rolling in fast…
