I am so excited to share with you all something a little different over the next few days, some travel photography.
As a wedding photographer I am blessed with being able to travel all over, even if it is just down the road on my doorstep to fabulous weddings in Chichester or the rural Sussex countryside, I am grateful for my trips to the north of England and Scotland. But even more exciting is the travels I get when I go to Italy as a wedding photographer.
I absolutely adore Italy, the food, the sights, the people, the culture is fabulous. I just love to feel the wind in my hair, even when it’s the end of the day and the sun is just licking the tops of the poplars on the winding strada provinciale back to lodgings or a restaurant in the embers of an evening, it is the perfect place for some down time, some learning, some absorbing and enjoying life.
I recently covered a wedding in Italy in Orta San Giulio on the gorgeous Lago di Orta (Lake Orta) in the north of Italy in Piemonte and had a few days to explore amazing places like Bergamo, the Sacro Monte di Varese, Santa Caterina del Sasso, Lake Como with the beautiful Villa Carlotta and Menaggio. Such glorious places that I dream of one day photographing weddings on. But seriously, that dream was already true as the gorgeous backdrop of Lake Orta and Orta San Giulio itself was on the cards on this trip.
